Typically, limited duration accounting projects or contract engagements are situations
where the requirements are of a limited duration, ranging anywhere from weeks to
months.  Sometimes, the business entity is being sold or closed, thus to hire full time
employees is unfeasible.  Sometimes, the project involves a specific objective, like
establishing a sustainable reporting system.  In every case, the skills set that I "bring to
the table" are beneficial to the success of the project.

In 2008 - 2009, Russell worked on various bank closings, through approved vendors, for
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).  These projects happened when the
FDIC closed a financial institution or bank to protect the depositor's money.  The FDIC
acted as the federal Receivership until an acquiring bank took ownership.  These
projects, a dozen banks in five states, required confirming balance sheet accounts for
the acquiring banks.

A nineteen month project was completed in August 2005 for the international company,
Suez Energy.  It involved maintaining the ledgers for utility plants in a subsidiary
company, Trigen Energy, that was sold.  The utility plants were in Kansas City, MO and
Baltimore, MD.  The requirements for this project involved accounting and reporting on
revenues and expenses; variance analysis; account reconciliations; budget creation and
analysis; and special projects as requested.

A twenty-two month project was completed in March 2003 for Baker Hughes.  It involved
closing the ledgers on a subsidiary, Western Geophysical, that had been sold to
Schlumberger.  The new entity is now called Western Geco.  This project involved
complex reconciliations of world wide cash accounts, accounting for world wide field
crews, and working with international offices and currency conversions.

A nine month project was completed in April 2002 for a travel management company,
Advanced Travel Management.  This project involved the analysis, standardization and
streamlining of the accounting department.  It required the development of a internal
control system and budget creation.
